School Opening Hours

Royal Cross School for Deaf Children.

From September 2023 the Government are introducing a compulsory minimum expectation for the length of the school week of 32.5 hours.

32.5 hours includes "the time in each day" from the official start of the school day to the official end.

From September 2022 all schools are expected to publish their opening times on their school website.

At Royal Cross School:

The school day begins at 08:45 as children arrive for daily 'Wake & Shake'; registration and hearing equipment checks.

The day ends at 15:15 as children assemble to leave school in taxi transport.

The school day is 6.5 hours.

The school week is 32.5 hours.
