Attendance updates ...

Date: 7th Sep 2020 @ 11:47am

Good morning everyone.

Attendance updates …

We have updated our attendance policy to reflect the new Covid-19 measures. The policy takes into account any pupil absences related to covid-19 and will help to give some guidance on what is expected of schools and families. This policy will be available on the school web site this week. Paper copies are available from the school office if needed.

If your child is absent it is important that families ring into the school office by 09:15 to let school know and to give some detail about your child’s symptoms.
School will then keep a checklist of symptoms and help advise families if a Covid-19 test is advisable. This will help to keep everyone safe in school and reduce the risk of any transmission.

This record will take account of any Covid associated symptoms:
Should a pupil display a high temperature + 2 additional covid related symptoms families will be advised to seek a test and follow Public Health England (PHE) guidance.

Families are also advised that if they feel that their child or anyone within their household is displaying symptoms they must seek a test and follow PHE guidance.

These are difficult times for families and as a school we need to be mindful of the ‘normal’ coughs and colds that children have at this time of year – alongside watching for any Covid-19 symptoms.

Thank you for your support in this.
